Just to let you know, I’ve just started a new (additional) blog called Meandering Matriarch’s Short Stories. I aim to publish some short stories there, leaving this site for the nonfiction (yeah, right). I haven’t written short stories before, so this is a bit of an experiment–a learning exercise for me. I like true stories, like:
Hobart baker was brought before the magistrate on a charge of selling adultrated rabbit pies.
Magistrate: How do you plead to the charge of making and selling adultrated rabbit pies ?
Baker: Guilty your Honour.
Magistrate: What other meat were you including in your rabbit pies ?
Baker: Horse meat your Honour.
Magistrate: What proportion of horse and rabbit meat were you putting in your pies ?
Baker: 50/50 your Honour. One horse to one rabbit.
The old stories are the best.
