I recently watched a TED talk about preparing to live with the changing climate. I think it is worth sharing. It isn’t long, but it is thoughtful–and worth your time. Vicki Arroyo addresses not only what governments and communities need to plan for, but also what we as individuals should anticipate in our own choices and planning.
I recommend it. MM
With last weeks announcement by Australian Antarctic Division that the Antarctic sea ice has increased in area by 2%, and is heading back to the 1996 sea ice record, if I lived in Fossil Cove I would be moving my chooks up onto the verandah.
Seriously.
Hi, Jeff! If I weren’t so far above the water level, I just might! As it is, I think the chooks and I are safe for a few more decades. At least I hope so!
We’ve been thinking along these lines for quite a few years now. Isn’t it nice to see more and more people saying that climate change is HERE, NOW! The next couple’a decades are going to be interesting, that’s for sure!
Fascinating talk. Very important info to be thinking about. Thank you for sharing!
Glad you enjoyed it. I thought it was significant and provocative.
